GIFTS TEAM
"Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good."
1 Corinthians 12:7
Foundational to Bridge of Hope Ministries since its inception has been the commitment to be a "gifts-based ministry." By this we mean that we take seriously the Bible's teaching concerning Christ's provision for his body, the church. Several texts, such as the one found above, remind us that God desires to build and equip his church. This desire is lived out in numerous ways, not the least of which is through spiritual gifts--gifts that every follower of Christ receives in order that they might use them for their own edification as well as the benefit of others around them.
At Bridge we have recently launched this new ministry team to ensure that we don't just talk about gifts but that we also find ways to help members figure out what their gifts are, how they can best be utilized, and how by offering them, we can all grow together as a community. For any information about the Gifts Team or getting plugged in at Bridge, e-mail Di Moerman or Trent Stanley, our Gifts Team leaders.
Upcoming Events . . .
Our Gifts Team successfully offered a Network gifts seminar on October 19 & 20. (Network is a seminar for anyone interested is discovering what their gifts and passions are in order to be more self-aware, more fruitful in their service, and more fulfilled because they are working out of their area of giftedness). The seminar is a time of self-discovery, confidence-building, and community strengthening. You leave knowing what your gifts and passions are!
Listen for upcoming announcements and sign-up sheets at church, with more information as well. Or, feel free to contact our team leader: Di Moerman or Trent Stanley, if you want to know more.
