Church Potluck on August 1st in Honor of Pastor Aaron and Niki and family to show our appreciation for their years of service to Bridge of Hope and to show encouragement for their new calling! Please plan to attend!
When: Sunday, August 1st, 11:30 am
Where: Children's Park, West Shelter House
What to bring: Couples and families please bring one hot and one cold dish, Singles please bring one dish
What will be provided: Drink, tableware, and cake for dessert! Note-cards and pens will also be available for you to write a note of encouragement to Pastor Aaron and his family or share a memory with them. There will be a box for you to put the notes into.

PROMISE LAMBS will begin meeting again August 1.

BUDGET FUNDRAISER: We have a shingling project coming up next weekend, July 30 & 31.  We need 10-12 volunteers on Friday and 6-8 on Saturday.  Check out the website for the sign-up sheet.  There will be a sign-up sheet at the Welcome Table on Sunday.  Contact Jenni if you are able to work.  

SPECIAL OFFERING:  This month’s second offering will be for The Bridge located in Orange City.  The second offering will be collected next week Sunday, August 1.

WOMEN OF BRIDGE:  If you are interested in attending the Women of Faith weekend in St. Paul, MN on October 22-23, please contact Jennifer Bald at 441.7408 or Tina Folkerts at 712.278.2123.  Seats are $89 and we have seats available!  We plan to share hotel rooms to save on money and caravan up there together.  We need a head count and payment for the tickets by August 15.  It truly is a Christ-filled experience and we hope you can join us. 

INTRODUCING THE CARE TEAM:  The Care Team has grown and now includes Tina Folkerts, Gabby Eckardt, Jennifer Bald, Gwen Weyen, Melissa Cox and Candi TeKrony.  We plan to meet monthly to plan and coordinate ways to show care for people within the BOH community.  Generally, we have organized meals for people needing that service and a few other things, but we hope to expand our ways of serving such as planning events for single parents, college students, singles, etc.  We invite you to share with us if you (or someone you know) have any needs that could be met through the Care Team, whether it is needing a meal or if you're having surgery and could use extra help with cleaning the house or childcare or would like some prayer and support because you're lonely. We would love to help and encourage you to feel free to contact us with your needs.

NEW NURSERY COORDINATOR:  We are looking for a person to fill the Nursery Coordinating position who makes the quarterly schedule, assembling a team to help periodically clean toys, and to make sure the nurseries are running smoothly.  If you are interested in using your gifts in this way, please contact Valerie. 

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS ON GIVING:  If you listed tithing in 2010 as a New Year’s resolution then utilizing Bridge of Hope’s automatic fund transfers would prove a helpful discipline.  Forms are available online.  Please fill out and deposit in the offering bags, to a service shepherd, or at the church office.

PASTOR AARON'S CHAPEL SERVICES - you are encouraged to check out Pastor Aaron's chapel message week to week. You will also find great questions to talk and reflect on the message. Check them out by using this link to Dordt's webpage.

     CORY IS ON BOARD - Cory Van Sloten is now on staff part-time. As a general rule of thumb, Cory will be reachable at the church offices Tuesday and Thursdays between 8:30-2:30  

ANGEL FOOD MINISTIRIES -   Orders may be placed by calling the CFE office at 712.722.3527. You may check their website for the most current menu. If you would like to volunteer to help sort boxes on Saturday delivery days, please contact CFE or Allyssa or call her at 712.722.3448.
